The Feeling of Jazz - CD Mixing and Mastering

Howard Britz asked me to mix and master the tracks of his CD "The Feeling of Jazz", which was recorded by Tom Tedesco at Tedesco Studios in Paramus, New Jersey. As the cover suggests, Howard was going for a classic "Blue Note" concept with this project, so I went for warm, analog sounding mixes, utilizing Slate Digital tape simulators and RCA tube console plugins. The sidemen on this album, who include the great Donny McCaslin, are amongst New York's finest musicians, and it was a joy to work on. The songs from this CD can be streamed at: www.howardbritz.com
